Ever wonder where the people on Balboa Island buy their gorgeous holiday decorations? Roger’s Gardens is a longtime favorite for creative, luxurious indoor and outdoor home décor. It’s known as a destination shopping spot for gardeners, designers and even sightseers, but it’s more than that. It’s literally an experience.
The Christmas Boutique goes up in November and is a truly dazzling experience. This year’s theme is “The Golden Glow of Christmas” and is inspired by travels around the globe. Tree after tree is beautifully decorated with its own flavor – from London to Paris to New York and more. The branches hang with enchanting hard-to-find ornaments, as well as designer pieces. There are styles for every taste, and of course, beach treasures are tucked in throughout the store.
Authentic Nutcrackers from Germany, hand crafted ornaments from Poland, chocolate from Switzerland – these are just the tip of the iceberg. There are cloth and paper products, poppers, soaps, candles, wrapped gifts, crystal, jewelry, timepieces, and these are just the indoor items. You quickly get a sense of the hours of artistry and effort put into these displays.
Outside, you will find magnificent Christmas greenery – wreaths, garland, poinsettias, and Christmas trees. In fact, if you are in the market for a $999 Christmas tree, you can find it here! But there are some more reasonably priced items, too.
Santa Claus is at Roger’s Gardens every Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM through December 21st. Children can share their secrets and get a professional photo with Santa. They will also love seeing the delicate white reindeer and gazebo on the corner of Macarthur and San Joaquin Hills Drive.
There’s so much more to appreciate at Roger’s Gardens. From the Fine Art Gallery and seminars, to food trucks on the weekend and landscape design services, this is a mind-blowing place. For directions and more information, visit www.rogersgardens.com.
